What is Cytodrox (Hydroxyurea)?
The medicine belongs to the category of antineoplastic agents which is prescribed for sickle cell anemia, certain types of cancers including chronic myelogenous leukemia, melanoma and squamous cell carcinomas. Also, it is used as an adjunct drug to the antiretroviral therapy for AIDS patients and for psoriasis treatment.
What is the appropriate dosage of Cytodrox (Hydroxyurea)?
Those taking intermittent therapy are recommended to take one 80mg capsule orally every day. For those taking continuous therapy are advised to administer 20 to 30mg capsule as a single dose every day of the week. The capsule can be taken with or without food. Always get the permission of a specialist before administering the drug.
